Planning is essential in the battle for fat loss and living healthy. There are so many bad options out there that if you are not prepared then you will not be successful in your journey. Your first step here is to take out a calendar and write down in each day what your meals will be. For example, Monday Dinner, Grilled chicken with salad and broccoli. Do this for every meal. Now take your meals and look at what you need from the grocery store and make a list. Go shopping and buy extra food so you can make extra so you can have healthy leftovers at your disposal. Pretty easy, take some time Sunday morning plan your meals and go get what you need.
Since I just discussed planning your meals this next tip goes right along with it. Prep your food for the week. On Sunday prepare your meals for Monday through Wednesday and on Wednesday finish preparing for the rest of the week. Prepping can go from actually cooking the meals to just having it sliced, diced or chopped and ready to go for cooking. If you have meals prepared then you are prepared to lose fat and live a healthy lifestyle. You know the feeling when you get home and there is nothing prepared. You are starving and you go for whatever you can get your hands on at that moment to fill your stomach. This we all know leads to poor choices which leads to living an unhealthy lifestyle. Learn the art of preparation and you will be well on your way to becoming healthy in 2016.
This is another tip that is similar to having a time machine. Turn off the TV and something miraculous happens. You guessed it, you have more time to do the important things that you keep saying you have no time for. We live in an age of reality TV, it’s time to stop living inside someone else’s world and start creating the life that you want. Another thing turn off the news, stop filling your life with negative thoughts it will lead to stress that will sneak up on you and being unhealthy mentally.
This goes right along with turning off the TV. With all the electronics in our lives we are prone to staying up later than we should. I am just as guilty about the electronics and having my phone on me at all times but I have found when I shut down earlier I sleep better and the better I sleep the better I can perform the next day. What you want to do is create a night time routine. Shut down all electronics half hour before bed, read a couple of pages of a book then turn all the lights off and fall into la la land.
SLEEP! Again let me repeat this. SLEEP! Every time someone asks me about what they can do to improve I ask them if they sleep. Seems like sleep improves all aspects of life. Yes this piece of advice can be the most boring tip I can give you in this entire series but it works. Sleep more and you will lose weight, gain muscle and improve your mental capacity on a daily basis. So again, SLEEP!
